Just a week after Equinox and we have the Posh Photos - yay! Sort of brings it all back, and it was SUCH fun...
This is the deep gully that I'd jumped into - and then ducked down to get properly muddy. You can just see the Elegant Lady in Blue ahead of me, and I like the fact that I'm clearly looking for the way out in order to see my line and save time. Yeah, right. Also notice Wee Gill's face behind...
Yep, this is shortly before the 'You're sooooooo sacked' photo...
And this is how she stayed so clean - keep the arms at shoulder height. Yep, that'll do it...
At the last deep mud I gave the lady in front of me a healthy shove (with her blessing). I particularly like the pond weed hanging off my elbow here - who knows what else was in there, eh?
And a happy smiley STILL HALF CLEAN Wee Gill...
The smiling chap behind Wee Gill in the white T shirt was the lovely guy who gave us a helping hand out of several deep bits of mud - BIG thanks and muddy handshakes to you!
And this is how you get sort of clean at the end. It's very nice that the cameraman was taking pictures of absolutely everything, but just goes to prove that I should never, EVER, wear shiny skintight trousers....
So, the Classic is three weeks today (yay!) Wee Gill will gain Mud Master 1 status - and it's on her BIRTHDAY! I know! How cool is that!! We're soooooooo excited already...
Training? Well, no, not in the usual manner of 'training'. However, the Melodeon Master and I did attempt to shift our entire vegetable patch (including the earth and the greenhouse) yesterday. So, yep, shovelling 18 barrowloads of mud counts as training.
It is much, much more fun to wade through it though....
