Make do and mend...

You'll remember this bit from last week:





Yes, well, um....  I've done swimming but absolutely no running because of having Very Stiff Knees.  It could be that I've started doing my core strength exercises with a vengeance and my knees are complaining.  It's basically squats and leg raises and stomach raises, all done with a Sit Fit (like a whoopee cushion but less, um, noisy...)  Anyway, my knees are complaining so I've not run at all but I have been swimming lots.  A bit.

Is it just me or are the days going by quicker?  I seem to ricochet from morning to evening, sleep, and then do it all again.  My 'To Do' list grows by the day and my 'Ticked Off' list doesn't.  Sigh.

My other reason for not running is that I need to darn my trainers again.  Because of my rubbish running my big toe makes holes in my trainers.  I do quite a nice line in darning (I just knew that my A Level Needlework would come in handy one day) so they've been darned.  Twice so far.  Nothing wrong with the grips and tread and the rest of them, it's just about the holes.   And because I'm so rubbish at running it's really not worth shelling out for a new pair every couple of months, so there's only one thing for it.

Darn it.
