Optimistic.

I felt fine.  Really I did...

So on Wednesday I ran 10k with Happy Running Dog including The Tardis (it's bigger than it looks) and various trails in the woods.

I felt fine.  Really I did...

On Friday I thought I'd do it again.  Well, not The Tardis, a different route...  And the knees rebelled.  They simply wouldn't run... they just wouldn't.  So I walked the 5 miles instead...  Followed by a bike ride to Caerphilly to have photos with Flora - easy pedalling and just the 8 miles round trip, simples.

And lovely photos!

I wore my medal, and still had my RideLondon number attached to my helmet - hopefully one of the pictures will be in the Caerphilly Observer next week, giving more publicity to my Guide Dogs fundraising.

Flora was adorable, as ever.  But she lacked focus.  I remembered I had a fruit and nut bar in my pocket and suddenly she was VERY attentive.

Well, she is a labrador!

So, what's the next challenge?  Classic Mud Runner in October, IceBreaker in February, Oblivion next summer with a team of 3 other girls who have never done mud running (I am trying to warn them what it's like, really I am) and a couple of triathlons somewhere along the way.  But a proper challenge?

Anyone know how I practice bog-snorkelling?
