Oops.
My hand should be able to do this:
That's my right hand - it's fine. And please admire my nails - with thanks to Glam Kath.
What my left hand is doing is this:
My fingers feel fuzzy and won't straighten, I struggle to tie up my walking boot laces and there is zero strength in the last two fingers so I can't change gears on the road bike.
Oops.
I've had physio and chiropractic treatment, and I have more this week. The chiropractor told me, rather worryingly, that the feeling may not come back. At all.
I'm still training on the turbo trainer one handedly (yes, that is a word thank you) and I can still swim (although the left hand is pretty rubbish as the fingers don't pull much water through) and I can run.
Which is handy really as today Glam Kath and I ran Race for Life in Cardiff. Glam Kath's brother died of cancer last year and she said she wanted to do Race for Life in his memory this year. So we did. I helped her train, she painted our nails and we jointly 'did' our outfits.
We looked fantastic!
And you can see we were handily placed for the portable toilets in the background...
We ran 5k in Bute Park in Cardiff, we cheered a lot and we puffed a bit - it was HOT!
Next year Glam Kath wants to tackle Oblivion. I've told her it's 'a bit muddy'....
