Twenty Five

"This training lark is going alright, I have to say'.

Spoke too soon!  This week I've been flattened by a bug so I've managed only 25 paltry miles...  I've spent a bit more time reading reviews of 'The Saddle' and even discovered it in PINK on a German stockist's website:

Now obviously it's not about the colour, it's about the comfort, so it doesn't matter if it's black, blue or dull grey.  But PINK?  Well obviously that's a whole different matter!

Trouble was, I couldn't translate the German page - even with Google Translate I didn't really know what it was, so I emailed the USA manufacturers and asked if they stocked the pink one.

Truly honest response:

"The pink is terrible leather. We discontinued it a couple years back. DON'T BUY THE PINK! ;-)"

How fab is that?  I shall now buy the saddle (well, still building up to it, but I'll get there...) from the lovely people in the US.

And you'll notice a few new bits and pieces on the right hand side of the blog - yep, it's FUNDRAISING time!  My aim is to raise £1,000 for Guide Dogs for the Blind whilst pedalling 100 miles around London in August...

Apparently you can donate by text, email, clicking the link or carrier pigeon.  By this time next week I'll be totally up to speed with all the different methods and I'll have thought up various ways to reward you for your generosity...

Cake will be involved!
