My injury list is turning into a tale of woe....
The current standings are:
1 metatarsal broken in the summer - almost mended but still aches a bit.
1 bruised rib - still very sore when I laugh, and sneezing is a definite no-no.
2 slightly dodgy knees - should be ok if I keep doing the exercises.
2 dodgy contact lenses - yes, I know that's not an injury but I've switched to a new make and now my world has gone a bit fuzzy....
I have started light training by way of a bit of a go on the exercise bike (which is fine) and a light swim (which was not fine - breathing deeply is difficult and breathing deeply whilst flailing my arms for either breaststroke or crawl is a seriously bad idea).
On Wednesday I am going to try running. Slowly. In a nice grassy field.
I desperately wanted to go out on the mountain bike this weekend but the Melodeon Master pointed out to me that with fuzzy contact lenses, a dodgy rib, an aching foot and an inability to breathe properly it might not be my brightest idea. It was also raining and blowing a Force 8 gale.
I fear I am becoming a fair weather cyclist...
