This weekend I invented a new form of yoga. The roof tiles on our utility room and outside loo had dislodged themselves so I repaired them, which involved climbing out of a VERY small window and balancing precariously on a plank (to disperse my vast weight) whilst stretching to (a) remove and clean the tiles and then (b) replace, glue and seal them in place. So, Tiling and Yoga = TOGA! Needless to say, today I ache in places I didn't even know I had places...
And I had a lovely email mid-week from Fit Mark following my stunning PB and 11th place in the triathlon. Well, I would have had a lovely email mid-week if it hadn't gone straight to junk... Anyway, what he actually said was that "It looks like that there may be a runner trapped in that body somewhere after all. Imagine what you could achieve with the right kit and some proper training."
Which is praise indeed! I really should try proper training.
Yesterday Fit Mark and the lovely Louise popped round for an evening drink - we'd been gardening (and toga-ing) despite the fact it was the Melodeon Master's birthday. I know how to spoil him... Fit Mark had been running the Beast of Bryn in the Alan Valley. A 15 mile very hilly trail race.... Of course he did it, including a 6.34 mile. Brilliant! Although he was beaten by a 67 year old man...
There might be a runner in there somewhere... with the right kit and proper training...
