So, my new year's resolution was to 'drink less, exercise more'. It still counts if it's the other way round, right? Just 3 weeks to go to Ice Breaker and I've pretty much had a week with no training. Gulp. Too much painting to do in the Now-Almost-Finished-Decorating-Kitchen. And it was snowy. And New Running Dog slipped on some ice and said snow is now SCARY and she can't go out in it. Oh dear.
I did do some of the heinous exercise bike followed by drowning though, so it wasn't an entirely non-training week. And chiro exercises. And walking the normal dog.
And I had a lovely comment from Mad Mick who is truly mad as he's still reading this... He suggested that the way to not be stiff after running is to sit in a cold bath for ten minutes. Deep joy.
So, plan for this week: On Tuesday I have a day off, I'm going to go for an 8k run and then sit in a cold bath. Oh yes, I know how to party on a day off!
And in view of Ice Breaker being only 3 weeks away and needing to get into serious training, I'm not drinking wine.
I'm having a gin and tonic instead...
