He asked if I would like to be the OFFICIAL backmarker on the IceBreaker! YAY! How cool is that? I get to go slowest, finish last and feel no pressure that some other poor soul is trailing round behind me... YAY! I am soooooooooooo excited!
I emailed Fit Mark (who has already entered as an individual, and his abandonment of his former 'team' has been duly noted...) who agreed my position as 'last to finish' was probably what I've always been training for...
It's five weeks today. Yes, I know I said 'it's five weeks today' last Sunday but that just shows I was right to give up trying to be an accountant as I clearly can't add up... Anyway, five weeks today - my physio sessions have finished, I am now on 'back and knee strengthening' exercises and I'm aiming to start running and cycling by the end of January - so that's 3 weeks to get fit enough to finish last. No problem!
And a challenge for when I'm cycling again: Before Christmas Fit Mark spotted the dog agility plank raised on two bricks that we have in the garden for New Running Dog to walk along... He has suggested riding my new mountain bike (MTB) along the plank would be difficult.
Honestly, how hard can it be?
