Ice Cream Sian and I decided it was high time we had a girly half day out - I asked her what she really wanted to do on an afternoon off, and she mentioned sauna, massage, bit of pampering, that kind of thing.
We made do with shopping.
In the car we had a proper girly chat. About work, running, mud, work, mud, running, work, mud and work. We're running the St David's Day 5k Fun Run on Sunday for Hapus (the ice cream parlour) so do say hi if we run past you. Or, far more likely, you run past us...
We spent a bit of time clothes shopping although I think our method of 'yeah, they look about right' may not be the absolute best way to ensure a good fit in trousers, and I bought socks too. Pink, of course... bargain, couldn't resist them.
And Sian bought shoes. As the boots she was wearing were from a time before she met her husband (and how long is that now - 13 years?) she thought it was about time. And they're PRETTY! Really colourful. So now I'm jealous...

The plan when we got home was to go for a test run (OK, I just wanted to see them muddy and not so colourful FAST) but Sian's tweaked her Achilles, so it was just me who went for a run. I sort of did Fit Mark's First Training Run in reverse - not actually going backwards, if you see what I mean, but doing the route the opposite way round. Nope, that still sounds like I went backwards... Anyway, I set off in the opposite direction and made it a bit shorter. But apart from that it was the same run. I missed out about 1.2k because I thought it was going to get dark and I had already done a dog walk, 5k on the bike and a half mile swim, but I'm not sure I'm going to tell Fit Mark exactly which bits I missed out.
Because it was all the muddy bits...
