Eeeeeeeek!!!

Um, I've entered something. So now I'm REALLY trying to get fit - I've done two 'home made triathlons' this week (5k run, 10k exercise bike, mile swim). Yay! Although I'm not sure whether I'm getting fitter or just knackered... Must be fitter, surely??

Anyway, the reason is this: I have been seriously tempted to enter the Oblivion Mud Runner 2011. Because it's on my birthday. And it involves mud. Then on Monday this week I was chatting to Ice Cream Sian about it and she said she'd do it too. Yay! I am so excited - it will be SO much more fun (yes, fun!) with someone else.... So then we got thinking if we got one more we could be a team of 3. We could call ourselves Got-a-Sec? and have team T shirts and everything even if we are going to be rubbish because I'm hopeless at running and Ice Cream Sian reckons she's hopeless at climbing over things. We decided we wanted Fit Mark as our third. On the basis that he's (a) fit (b) a big strong chap and (c) he can run and climb over things.

We emailed him and asked, explaining that Ice Cream Sian can't climb and I can't run so we'd TOTALLY understand if he wanted to do it on his own and be competitive and that our aim for a finish time was 'the same day'.

He said yes! We're so chuffed, we really are. He is already trying to find a mud-resistant camera so he can take pics of us on the way round.

My nephew Charlie has also entered, so now I'm thinking the whole birthday picnic thing after we've finished. Which will be tea-time...

Hence the reason for the extra fitness training!
