Well, the doctors never made it to the hospital on Friday, and neither did I... We had 10 inches of snow, and there was no way out from here...

Still, on the bright side, we have invented a Whole New Competition! It's called a SNOWATHLON! It's a two day event - we tried it out this weekend and we think it will catch on...
First you do a four hour hike across Rudry Common to get to the nearest hospital except you don't ever make it because after 2 hours you're only just over half way there and it's just Too Damned Far.

Four hours. FOUR HOURS. Needless to say Rubbish Running Dog is a bit knackered today, bless her. She may be rubbish at running but she's jolly enthusiastic in snow!
Then on the second day you do 250 square metres of snow shovelling:
And finally a double helping of Car Snow Clearing:
After Phases 2 and 3 of the new Snowathlon I can get my car out - it's now parked in the village so I can at least go to work and the hospital tomorrow.
And we STILL haven't decorated the Christmas tree we bought last weekend - it's been sitting in a bucket of water (ok, ice now) since last week... we had meant to decorate it Wednesday evening, but it sort of didn't happen...
We're hoping the new Sarah Snowathlon will catch on.
As long as there's snow...
