I'm sticking to the Lucozade/drugs/dark chocolate regime (if you want shares, buy them in Lucozade NOW) and there is at least some improvement - today I can swallow without my eyes watering. I'm still wiped out by lunchtime and spend the afternoon asleep in bed again. This time I dream I am running the 5k beautifully - lightly, elegantly, pain free and without being red and sweaty. Yep, it's a dream... I've also tried (varied diets are A Good Thing) the new Lucozade Lite which comes in two colours - red and green. I discover the green only looks green because of the plastic wrapping on the bottle. If you peer into the bottle it's actually rather an unappetising greyish colour. The red one's ok, but I'm not not keen on the green. Apparently it's 'Lemon 'n' Lime' and as I don't really like either lemon or lime it's perhaps not entirely surprising that I'm not a fan. But I didn't have my glasses with me and only got as far as 'red' and 'green' so bought one of each. The blurb on the label also says these drinks are hypnotic, which I spent quite a long time thinking about - if I drink it will I go into a dreamlike stupor where I can run the 5k lightly, elegantly, etc etc? I really must wear my glasses when shopping - it turns out it says hypotonic. Whatever that means. We're getting into the territory of the same terrible jargon used in shampoo adverts here... I've also been eating wheat free biscuits (coconut ones nice, choc chip bit flaky) and fruit smoothies made with goats yoghurt. No, really, they're nice! And my lovely postcards that I printed out yesterday are still sitting on my desk unused - I was supposed to be at a networking event tonight where I was going to hand them out. Instead I'm sitting at home in my pyjamas trying not to fall asleep again...
And I have more sponsorship! My big brother and his lovely wife have sponsored me. It did come with a message saying that they think I'm barking, but that's ok too...
Tomorrow I will be well. I have decided. Then I have the weekend to rest and get really well. Apart from the bike ride on Saturday...
