Sorted!

I started the day with a new challenge - to cycle 10k on the exercise bike in the time it takes to cook a chocolate cake... and yes, I did it! The cake takes 28 minutes to cook, and I made life slightly harder for myself by starting the washing up before starting cycling, but I still DID IT! Yay! I have absolutely no idea how this translates to actually doing it on a real bike, but it was a different way to cycle... I can also do half a mile of swimming in the time it takes to cool a chocolate cake in its tins. I'm sure that will be Very Useful one day...

The chocolate cake was a bribe to take to one of my clients along the lines of 'here's a chocolate cake, er, would you mind sponsoring me?' And they were very generous too, (thank you all!). The general consensus was, again, that I am bonkers. I was also offered another bike, albeit one where the left pedal drops off at regular intervals, but it was a kind offer nonetheless.

On the cycling front, I am now sorted... I went back to the bike shop and the boys very kindly took the wheels off 'my' bike (eek!) and the frame fits easily in the back of the Fiat. As long as I remember to take the wheels with us on Sunday, we'll be sorted. I paid attention to how the wheels come off and go back on, so that bit should be fine. Although I might just write notes to make sure I remember to put the brakes back in place...

And here's a weird thing - on Sunday when we were with Joy she was asking me about my knee exercises which I then demonstrated to her. And we all admired my lovely straight kneecaps. I drove Guy's car back home and then found my left kneecap was pointing inwards. After just 40 minutes driving! So I was wary of driving the Fiat again today (the Smart doesn't have a clutch, so this isn't usually a problem), and changed gears as little as possible - I just went everywhere in second. [Guy, if you're reading this, I'M KIDDING. It was third....]

My sponsorship is now at £385 - THANK YOU! Can we make it to £400 before Sunday?
