The Christmas feasting has continued:-
Dinner No. 4 was a pub lunch - battered mushrooms and rump steak - not exactly festive, but absolutely yummy. It also lasted four hours...
Dinner No. 5 was a dogs dinner. Literally - it was the dinner of our dog training group, and it was utterly brilliant. Great food (prawns, turkey, Christmas pud) and brilliant games - guess the face, bingo, heads or tails - and also singing where each table sings a line of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Our table was 'Three French Hens' but we got slightly inventive so it became 'Three Well Trained Dogs'... We were brilliant. Personally I was tuneless, as always.
Dinner No. 6 wasn't so great - tough chicken. But good company, so not entirely a wasted lunch...
And cakes. This week we've done a leaving work violin:
A 55th wedding anniversary motorbike:
And a John Lewis advert inspired engagement cake...
We're now going to lie down in a darkened room for a rest...
Training? Not a hope! Maybe on Christmas Eve....
Merry Christmas and fingers crossed for an injury-free New Year. Mad Mick
ReplyDeleteHello Mick! And a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too - I need to get cracking soon to work off all these mince pies! Are you injury free now? I do hope so....
ReplyDeleteNo. Not injury free at the mo. I too need to sort out the removal of a mince pie or two
