First of all, things to tidy up from my non-running of Oblivion. Some lovely photos!
Yes, I am looking remarkably relaxed and unruffled... that's because instead of running 10 hilly kilometres with obstacles, I've just had a nice 5k wander in the woods... I've clearly found my distance.
And speed.
Note the bottle of water, the walkie talkie and the oversized bib. I also had a Snickers in my backpack. When I mentioned 'picnic' I really meant it...
Feeling much better now, tried a teensy run on Wednesday (went ok) but now totally taken up with preparations for the Melodeon Master's birthday party...
This weekend we bought 22 bottles of wine at 7.30 in the morning (there's nothing wrong with that, is there?) prepared the ground and laid a giant decking draughtboard, made a seat for spectators, decorated the outside loo, mowed the grass, laid a bark path, put bunting on the shed, fixed the loft hatch (in the searing heat - it was a teensy bit warm up there), cut out a giant '60' for a decoration, made draughts for the new board, cleaned the gravel, watered plants, inflated a seagull, arranged camping with the local farmer, watched a bit of the tennis (including the end wasn't it AMAZING?), modelled small pirates, dogs and cats for the cake out of icing and made six quiches.
And then on Sunday....
We also shut one of the cats in the car overnight. By the morning she'd put hair everywhere and turned both the lights and the windscreen wipers on.
I've booked her test for next week...
