To run, or not to run, that is the question...

It's not good news. I have a hacking cough which starts somewhere near my ribs and gets steadily more revolting as it moves up. Other than that, I really feel fine! I spent a quite lunchtime looking up 'should I run with a chesty cough' on Google (yes, I know it should have been 'should I do a Mud Run with a chesty cough' but oddly there weren't many others searching for that...) and the consensus seemed to be 'if you're ill above the neck moderate exercise is fine, if it's below the neck (chesty cough, broken leg) it's not so clever, can be dangerous, could kill you etc. However, Mud Runs weren't actually specifically mentioned...

We've arranged a car load with Fit Mark (who apparently took a bad tumble last night whilst running) and Ice Cream Sian (who is still recovering from doing the Cardiff Half Marathon with a heavy cold), me (with a hacking cough) and Guy and Blunkett to cheer us on. And take photos.

So, the plan is to go prepared to do a very slow Mud Run (more of a Mud Dawdle really) because it would be Huge Fun. I shall have a little jog around the field first and if I really can't breathe I shan't take part. I will be sensible.

Probably.
